Subscription Revenue Strategies for Book Publishers

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Digital subscription programs are well established in the world of journals, but less familiar to book publishers. Spotify and Netflix have demonstrated the power and attractiveness of the subscription model and in fact, some feel that we are becoming a “subscription economy.” Book publishers too can take advantage of this phenomenon, and in so doing recast their revenue model.
+ Which types of publishers have the greatest opportunities to provide successful subscription services?
+ How does a publisher define and execute a plan that results in launching new subscription services?
+ What challenges might be encountered along the way?

In this session you will learn how innovative book publishers and their partners are creating new and revenue streams through subscription services. Panelists representing an array of publishers (consumer, professional, academic) will separate the hope from the hype.
