Kathey Alexander established her publishing consulting business in 2001, after spending 20 years in medical publishing.  Her background encompasses all aspects of commercial and society publishing and all forms of information delivery.  Kathey was formerly Executive Vice President of Professional Medical Publishing at Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, where she was responsible for the medical book line, more than one hundred journals (proprietary and society owned) and controlled circulation newspapers.       

Kathey provides a broad range of services to professional and scholarly societies and associations, including:  Strategic and operational audits to analyze performance of existing publishing programs; exploring new business opportunities;  managing the society journal RFP process, from development of RFP through contract negotiation; managing the Editor-in-Chief search process; and serving as liaison between societies  and their publishers.
